Playing golf to a standard you will enjoy is the ultimate goal for most golfers. Support from our knowledgeable team will ensure your journey towards this goal is a rewarding one. All highly qualified PGA Professionals, the team at Elanora have had long teaching careers helping golfers of all standards to enjoy the game of golf, and lessons are available 7 days a week by appointment, covering anything from a private half hour lesson to a nine hole playing lesson.
Dean Meagher – Head Teaching Professional
Dean joined the team at Elanora in 2019. Dean is a Titleist Performance institute Level 1 Coach and also Level 2 Trackman certified. He takes a holistic approach to his coaching and looks forward to providing you with a first class coaching experience. Dean has previously competed on the Australasian Tour and the Canadian Tour, before dedicating his time to his coaching career.
Gillian Rae – Teaching Professional
Gillian Rae has been a Teaching Professional at Elanora Country Club since 2016. Arriving in Australia from her native Scotland in 1989 she soon made her mark in amateur golf, winning 25 Jean Derrin tournaments, as well as being a member of the NSW state team. Gillian became a member of the Australian PGA in 1997 after completing her traineeship at Terrey Hills Golf Club and has been teaching full time since 2001. In 2009 she was nominated for the NSW/ACT Teaching Professional of the Year, the first female to be nominated for this award.
Jared Harvey – Teaching Professional
Jared joined the team at Elanora in September 2022, relocating from Camden Golf Club where he grew up playing golf. Jared completed his PGA Traineeship in 2024. He is passionate about coaching and helping Members achieve their golfing goals.
Arden Yeung – PGA Trainee Professional
Arden joined the team at Elanora in September 2024, and is currently undergoing his PGA Traineeship. Arden plays off +3 at Bonnie Doon Golf Club where he is a Member. His passion is short game and would like to assist golfers with their skill set around the greens.
Simulator Studio – Simulated Course Play and Practice Range
Elanora has recently installed a Full-swing Simulator Studio utilising the latest Trackman 4 launch monitor technology and e6 Course Simulation software. Coaching sessions in these studios are available by booking a lesson with one of our PGA Professionals, however members are welcome to utilise the studio for simulated driving range practice (at no charge) whenever the studios are not being used for Coaching, and for simulated course play (at $30 / hour for up to 4 people) at set times during the afternoon each day (2:30pm – 5:30pm booking required). Please note, there may be occasions where these times are unavailable due to lesson requests. Please call the Golf Shop to make a Booking.
